Yeah, I've finally finished the art from the previous post!




I rushed it like hell last weekend, only to find out that it's due next week! Oh well. Tweaked it until I got sick of it, and now I'm finally done. I'm pretty happy with this... I spent a lot of time and effort on it and I like the outcome a lot, though I'm pretty sure that there will obviously be a ton of mistakes in it. :)

Halvar (the serpent; Raphael's water summon) had an even uglier colour scheme before this. :O He underwent a lot of tweaking after I was done with CG'ing Raphael though.

Whew! I'm glad that this assignment is over, and I already have to start preparing for the next one which is our final project. So many things to do, so little time (and brainpower). D;

Awww Ramza. XD; His original character design had hair like this, though I think I was inspired by all the hairstyles that most nobles kept from that era.

Frankly my dear, that is gorgeous! I love the water & summoning detail *___* The gun is one sweet piece too. My only quirk is that Raphael's legs seem a bit strange? ^^;;;

But overall, this looks AWESOME ♥ 8D

LOL you should see the amount of WIP screencaps I took when it came to tweaking his legs. I'll try to retweak them... lighting wise. I'm a bit too lazy to do something about the proportion ^^

Uwaaah!! When I saw the WIP, I was already blown away - now, I think I'm orbiting somewhere between Mars and here.

I love the gun from the wooden-finish-feel to the small gold designs, ooooh. And the summoning circle!!! ♥♥ And Halvar's head!!! ♥♥

The shading on the coat seems slightly different from that on the face, but I'm a bit blur, so. Also, the leg in front looks a little light, considering it's supposed to be in front?...

Not much light is reflecting off the face as opposed to the coat? Eh. And yeah, supposedly it should be darker, but with all the lights from the water around... I don't know? Perhaps I should re-tweak this with everyone's suggestions tomorrow morning and perhaps post an editted version. :)

Hmmm, more along the lines of the shading on the coat being 'rougher-looking' in texture as compared to the softer shades around the face?

And you can do that if you want to, but it's really nice as it is now too. ^^

Oh I see... I was going for the overall smooth type of CG'ing, but I guess it didn't really work out that well.

Ah it looks nice 8D There are definately mistakes here and there on the proportion and angle but overall I think its definately one of your better works! Good use of light and mood though next time try to see if deeper contrasts would bring it out?

I think most of the things that you could improve on I already commented but it looks good 8D Great job 8DDD Ganbatte with the rest!

The proportion was more fucked up than ever before you fixed it, so thanks for the help and correction there. :) I still have so much more to learn and ways to go on my own though.

I tried a deeper contrast; it just didn't look right. Like it was too loose or something... Nevermind, another round. Thanks though~

It's okay, you can even implement some storyline elements from the anime you've watched... It should be fine as long as your concept is strong, I suppose.
